human and wind energy

Winfly brought many changes to our little snow globe. One of the fun ones was Richard joined our department. His favorite things are laughing, Dolly Parton and stretching on this big ball.
major wind over the weekend, these guys were leaning against the wind so it didnt blow them off the mountain. I am pretty sure if there were some windmills down here we could power most countries with it.

a few more sun shots

I dont ever remember a time in my life where I thought about the sun full time. It was always something that was just there..part of the day. I do remember thinking about sunburn, sunscreen, sunglasses, sunspots, sunsets but not so much about the actual gian bright ball.

I find myself trying to understand the sun and the whole rotation business. I dont get it. I am just happy the big yellow ball has returned.

random sun shots

pretty times in the sky, we are getting a real sunrise & real sunset each day now

another runway is going in...

they have started building a 3rd runway on the "thick ice". I guess some of the other ice is not thick enough during part of the summer season. who knew there would be 3 runways on the bottom of the world.

a nice arctic movie

I saw this last night and found out that it is based on a true story from down here. If you have not seen it you should check it out....beautiful dogs. Part of it was filmed here and I think the rest in Canda because the sky is light in the movie when its actually totally dark here.
