I got a series of emails last week from people in New Zealand looking for a Maori carving called a "teko teko" that was done in 1967 and donated to the McMurdo Recreation department. The search was on and we actually found it in a closet. They are now in the process of trying to figure out if and how it can be returned to the family of the carver.

people of McMurdo

The girls were having a party inside, to the boys decided to sit outside...pretty funny and cold!

There are 62 girls here this winter, so we all got together the other day to get to know eachother
